Tommy Kyllonen, also known as Urban D. (Disciple) to his music fans, founded the youth ministry at Tampa, Fla.-based Crossover Church in 1996. Starting with just four teens, he and his wife developed a first-of-its-kind Hip-Hop Youth Ministry which over the span of six years grew to 200, far outpacing attendance in the main Sunday worship. In January 2002, Tommy became the lead pastor at Crossover and a new vision was birthed specifically to reach those influenced by Hip-Hop Culture. (read more)
Edward Bayonet aka Spec is no stranger to the hip-hop culture. His influences are very close to home. His uncle was an official b-boy of the early 80’s crew “Rock the House”. Numerous cousins around New York were known for their artistic graffiti style. Growing up in a single parent household, Spec was pushed to fend for himself on many occasions through out his life. The Advanced Pastors/Church Planters Network
This upcoming network is led by Pastor Tommy "Urban D." Kyllonen. It is open first to UCN Alumni as over 2 dozen pastors have went through the UCN Coaching Networks. If you haven't been through a network yet, you can still sign up, but the space is limited to the first 15 and alumni have first preference, so we'll contact you and let you know if there is room.
The Advanced Network covers:
1. Building Your Team, Doing regular evaluations and holding them accountable, Hiring, firing and restoration (some Crossover staff will join Tommy in this session).
2. Church Discipline, Dealing with difficult people and what you require of your members and leaders.
3. What it takes to successfully launch a second and third service.
4. Keeping your marriage balanced in the middle of the craziness of urban ministry. (This will be for you and your spouse. Tommy's wife Lucy will be joining this webinar and also sharing).
5. Time Management, Daily Scheduling without a secretary or personal assistant and keeping on track when crisis comes up.
6. Planning a huge water baptism event and watching God show up in a major way.
The Advanced Network will last from January until June as there is one session the last Tuesday Night of each month at 7pm EST. The cost is a one time fee of only $149. This includes all of the sessions, plus some free resources that will be included from Crossover Church. This network is limited to the first 15 participants (with Alumni having first preference).
